SN: 418 'Triple Lock' Vintage large frame double action revolver, manufactured circa 1914-1915. Features a blued finish, pinned 6 1/2" barrel, flat topped and angled rear on half moon front sight, fixed notch rear sight, case hardened .265” smooth trigger (with wide trigger shoe and overtravel stop installed), case hardened .260" hammer with knurled spur, fluted six-shot cylinder, shrouded ejector rod, five screw square butt N frame with lanyard ring at butt, checkered Magna style walnut grips with "S&W" medallions. Top strap has been finely stippled. Matching serial numbers observed on cylinder & frame. Matching assembly numbers "6761" found on yoke & on frame in yoke recess. Bore is very good condition. Metal surfaces retain 90% blued finish showing muzzle wear, edge wear, scattered handling marks, slight color fading on cylinder, cleaned spots on left side of frame & yoke. Tiny blemish to frame under top of side plate. Probably reblued, as indicated by blued finish in stippled area, color looks correct. Action is smooth with good lock-up, markings are deep & even and the wood grips are very good with wear. Markings include "NP .455" .760" on barrel, crown over "CP" on frame and over chambers, crossed pennants over barrel tenon.
