SN: 884419 'K-200' Australian marked WWII era medium frame double action service revolver chambered in .38 S&W with a 200 grain bullet, manufactured circa 1940-1945. Imported by VEGA of Sacramento, C.A. with import stamp on the left side of the frame. This revolver was provided by the United States government to the British Empire as aid under the Lend Lease program. Features a parkerized finish, pinned 5" barrel, forged round blade front sight, square notched rear sight, non-shrouded ejector rod, fluted six-shot cylinder, serrated .265" case hardened trigger, case hardened .265" hammer with knurled spur, five screw square butt K service frame with lanyard ring on the butt and two-piece smooth walnut grips. All observed serial numbers are matching with the exception of the grips, with the right grip panel bearing a victory model serial number. Standard markings with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the top strap. "W.B.", [Flaming Bomb] & "P" om the butt, and a number of Australian Department of Defense marks, including "FTR/MA53", "D[Broad Arrow]D" and others. Revolver retains approximately 95% of it's parkerized finish showing some high point edge wear, scattered handling marks/scuffs and some finish loss on the crane. Action is crisp with very good lock-up, the bore is near excellent with some minor pitting near the muzzle, markings are clear and the wood grips are fair with many blemishes & couple small losses.
