Smith and Wesson .455 Hand Ejector 1st Model revolver, .455 Mark II caliber, Serial #852. The pistol is in very good overall condition with a 6 ½” barrel. The pistol retains approximately 85% of its blue finish withhigh point edge wear, a loss of finish along the barrel and some light surface rust evident on the frame. The pistol features a five screw frame with muted case coloring on the hammer and trigger. There are multipleEnglish proofs, including the Broad Arrow on the pistol frame. The checkered wood medallion grips are in very good condition with small mars, compressions and a lanyard ring in the butt. The bore is good, theaction is crisp and markings are sharp. The pistol includes a Smith and Wesson factory letter confirming all features indicating that the pistol was shipped to Remington Union Metallic Cartridge Company, New YorkCity on October 21, 1914.
