We want hunters and outfitters to have a positive experience.
Expectations of hunters:
1) Bring another hunter and extend the hunt if feasible
2) Hunt from the outfitter's price list after harvesting donated trophies if additional game are
available and tip generously
Donations may not be combined on one trip unless outfitters agree prior to auction.
Exhibitor Oscar Iruretagoyena of Hunting Sonora is donating to our chapter for the first time and he welcomes a group of four hunters to Sonora Mexico for a free-range trophy Coues deer hunt that also includes trophy fees for a javelina for each hunter.
Oscar has been hosting Coues deer hunters for several years on his personal ranch in Sonora. In the last three years he has expanded his operations and acquired over a dozen leases in the surrounding area, hosting nearly 100 Coues and Mule Deer hunters in the 2023-2024 deer season alone.
This hunt is the ideal opportunity for a group of hunters who love to hunt high-quality trophy game without the expenses associated with multiple guides in camp and high-end lodges. The hunt method is glassing and spot and stalk with hunters using On X Hunt application and advice from Oscar on best locations to hunt. There is generally no guide in camp, but Oscar is available for consultation or personal guides are also available for $70 - $100/day. Last year the success rate was 100% on this 12,000-acre ranch. This is prime Coues country.
Hunters will meet Oscar’s agent in Nogales and will travel approximately one hour, forty-five minutes by vehicle to the ranch. Hunters need their own vehicles to travel to the ranch and during the hunt. Lodging at the ranch is in a traditional Mexican house, with hot meals prepared by a camp cook.
Included: Five days hunting for four hunters, escort from Nogales to ranch, lodging in traditional Mexican house, meals, and trophy fee for one Coues deer buck and one javelina per hunter.
Not Included: Airfare and hotels prior to and after hunt if necessary, firearm permit ($400 for two rifles, hunters may share a permit and the fees) or rifle rental with ammo ($500), license ($200), trophy field prep, and gratuities.
Available Upgrades: One extra hunter may be added ($4,500).
Dates: Available dates in January – February 2025
