Jacques Kriek, from Tharo safaris, along with his Dad,
Dr. Johan Kriek, and Brother Johan, of Mattanu Wildlife
Group, and Kriek helicopters, have come up his a
great package for 2 of the most sought after Ringed
horned animals of Africa. The magnificent Sable
Antelope and the regal Roan antelope. The hunt will be
on their home property of over 11,000 huntable acres
with over 15 species available. Dr. Johan Kriek was
the first person to bring in new genetics of Sable and
Roan antelope into south Africa from Malawi, as well
as Livingstone Eland from Zimbabwe.
Doc was born and raised in Zimbabwe, and is a
practising veterinarian and has established top
breeding lines of a lot of southern African animal
species. The hunt will be for 2 hunters for 5 nights
and 4 days, and the hunters can bring along other
hunters, or non-hunters at the regular rates. Hunters
can upgrade to any of the species the Krieks offer, And
you may want to take a day, and go into Kimberely
and take a tour through the old town, and see the big
hole, the largest hand dug mine in the world. The
trip includes a professional hunter for the 2 hunters,
all accommodations at the lodge, excellent meals
prepared by an inhouse chef, and awesome service
from Nadia serving soft drinks and local beers.
Premium liquor and wines are very reasonable and the
Doc has an extensive wine cellar to enjoy. Trophy prep
and use of the hunting vehicle are all included in this
beauty of an auction item.
Jacques and Johan run the hunting side of the
business and it was a pleasure hunting with all of
them this past February 2022.
Their area in the Northern cape, is very beautiful and diverse, with
Camelthorn trees, and about every type of thorn bush
you can imagine.

1. Upgrading your hunt, while not required, is certainly appreciated by our donors. If you do not want to add another animal, consider bringing along a friend. This really helps out these outfitters and hunting companies that are trying to help us! With few exceptions, these donors are not wealthy philanthropists, but rather they donate to help wildlife, ensure the future of our sport, and generate new business for themselves. Please do what you can to help!
2. We do our best to solicit donated hunts only from competent outfitters. However, we do not guarantee the quality or success of any hunt purchased at this auction. All of this said, it is important to note that hunts purchased at our auction generally go very well, with both the donor and the buyer being well satisfied. Certain trips such as mountain hunts or spot and stalk hunts require a high level of physical fitness to maximize the opportunity for success. Other trips, such as game ranch hunts, are not physically demanding.
3. If you are unable to attend our live auction in person and wish to place bids for live auction items, you may submit a bid online by establishing an account and providing payment information through our third party online auction representative.
