Made at Springfield Arsenal in 1915. 24" blued military round barrel in 30-06 caliber with standard front sight with protective hood and graduated to 2800 yards rear flip sight. Barrel is marked with "SA/FlamingBomb/1-15" stamping. Parkerized action with unmarked straight handle bolt. James F. Cole (J.F.C.) inspected walnut "S" finger groove stock with banded milled floorplate and later checkered butt plate. Parkerized stock furniture and trigger guard indicating rebuild for World War II. Matching walnut humped top wood. CALIBER: 30-06. S/N: 597339. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Overall 80% remaining military finish from rebuild with handling areas showing wear with some cold blue applied. Stock has been slightly cleaned with visible cartouche and normal usage wear. Good bore with visible rifling with a TE of 4 and ME of 3. Good strong mechanics. No visible import marks.
