Springfield Trapdoor Model 1884 single shot rifle, .45 caliber, Serial #165298. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 32” barrel with square post front and military tangent style rear sights. Thebarrel retains a significant amount of its thinning blue finish with wear at the muzzle. The receiver is going dark with silvery toning evident. The smooth wood stock is in good condition with mars, compressions, anold rack number painted on the butt and the letter, “M” scratched into the left side. The butt stock includes a ramrod, sling swivels and ends with a smooth, steel crescent butt plate. The bore is good, theaction crisp and markings are sharp. From the estate of Larry Gaertner. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
