.50-70 caliber, 36.75" barrel, NSN. Armory bright finish with walnut stock secured with three rounded spring-retained barrel bands. Blade front sight with folding leaf rear sight. Barrel marked with "JB" inspection markings with additional "17" on breechblock. which shows correct "1866/[eagle]" marking. Counterpane marked with script "HSH" cartouche of Henry Hill. Comb marked "43". **Fine condition. Barrel retains a mostly bright finish with some minor spots of oxidation, breech and lock parts taking on a medium pewter color. Stock shows some handling marks and blemishes, and retains a feathery grain. Action is tight and functional with a bright bore.** $1,000-$2,000
