Vintage American made single shot rimfire pistol manufactured circa 1907-1916. Features a blued 8" part octagon/part round tip-up barrel, automatic extractor, dovetailed blade front sight, dovetailed rear notch sight, smooth trigger, cast metal triggerguard, smooth hammer spur (traces of knurling), nickel plated iron frame with weighted & flared butt cap, and two-piece smooth walnut grips. Matching serial numbers are found on the barrel & frame, pencilled on inside of grip panels. Bore is poor, dark and lightly pitted throughout, with traces of visible rifling. Barrel is mottled brown patina with mostly smooth texture, some slight roughness. Nickel on frame is good, showing some peeling and puckering, majority coverage of bright silver color. Grips are very good, showing small dents, slight shrinkage, 3/4" high "A" lightly carved into left panel. Action needs repair, hammer does not stay cocked. Missing firing pin, with slight burr or weld blob protruding from breech face. Condition is NRA Fair (needs repair to action) *** C&R Firearm ***
