Mike and Karen Helbing, owners of the Double Deuce Ranch in Missouri and owners of the Wild Wildebeest Lodge in South Africa, are donating an 8-day Combo Hunt: 3-day/3-night Missouri Turkey Hunt with a 5-day South African Safari. The total donation is valued up to $13,500. Note that both hunts must be taken.
The Missouri turkey hunt includes 3 days/3 nights of lodging, meals, and all beverages for 2 hunters. The hunt is for 1 Eastern turkey per hunter. Also included in the donation is fishing and morel mushroom hunting. Additional hunters are welcome at a cost of $1750. Observers are welcome at $100 per day. Not included in the donation is the hunting license (approximately $190), and gratuities. Hunt may be taken in the spring of 2017 or 2018. This is a semi-guided hunt.
The South African Hunting Safari is for 2 or 4 hunters (2x1). Included are 5 days of daily rates (lodging, meals, and all beverages), $1000 toward trophy fees, and an additional $2000 toward trophy fees if upgraded to a 10-day hunt. Not included in the donation is airfare to/from Johannesburg, day of arrival and day of departure, conservation fees, VAT (value added tax), dip and pack if taxidermy is done in the U.S., and gratuities. Hunt may be taken from March through September 2017 or 2018.
