Texas Hope private purchase saddle circa 1858 with extra-long fenders. It has special tooling and spot design and horseshoe design on the seat of the saddle. Saddle is similar to the saddle that belonged to President Jefferson Davis. Saddle shows use from being exposed to elements, leather is dry and shows splitting. Overall good condition and a good example of a Texas Hope saddle used by confederate officers during the Civil War. Saddle stand not included
