This is an early example of the American made Hawken-style muzzleloader made by Thompson Center. It is in the hard-to-find .45 caliber and in pristine condition. These percussion rifles are no longer made or sold by Thompson and are getting very hard to find in new or almost new condition, especially in the less-common .45 caliber. This example appears to be unfired but we do not know that for sure. Look it over and decide for yourselves. For shooters, hunters or collectors, you will be hard-pressed to find another one in this condition. The .45 caliber is legal in Washington State for both deer and elk.
