Darryl Sword and Tim Ruby and their families have generously donated a trophy elk hunt for the 2014 Auction. This 7-day 1:1 trip will take you into the beautiful wilderness of the game-rich Kootenays to pursue a trophy elk.
You will meet one of Whiteswan Lake Outfitters’ staff in Cranbrook, BC and be transported to their clean and cozy base camp, which is equipped with cabins, showers, and flush toilets. All meals will be provided for you. Spike camps and wall tents may also be used for this trip.
You will use a variety of methods to pursue your elk, it depend on your preferences and physical fitness. Trucks and horses may be used, and some hiking will be needed for this spot-and-stalk hunt. If you’re looking for additional game, you can add a bear or a whitetail deer for the cost of the trophy fee ($500). You can make this hunt 2:1 by bringing your hunting buddy and an additional $4,900 (USD).
Non-hunters can come and enjoy the peace and serenity of camp for $300/day.
Licences, tags, royalties, and Hunting Preservation Fund ($200 CDN) are not included.

Successful bidders will be charged the total amount of their successful bid upon the close of the auction unless other arrangements are made. Contact the office at 604 541 6332 for further information.

Unless otherwise specified, the outfitter will be responsible for the care of the preliminary trophy preparation, salting and transportation of trophies and meat to the departure point, at no additional cost. Departure point is noted in each donation profile. The successful auction bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs and crating for the departure point to their home or taxidermist. Licenses, tags and other fees are at the expense of the successful bidder. Upon receipt of certified funds, the outfitter will acquire licenses and tags prior to the hunt. In the hunt listings, you will see the from time to time the letters “TBA” which means “to be arranged” with the guide outfitter. Successful bidders will be required to sign an insurance liability waiver form prior to taking their hunt or other wilderness trip. Al trips must be taken within the time specified. Any changes are at the sole discretion of the guide outfitter making the donation. All trips are for one person unless otherwise specified.
