Hunt Writeup: The Project
Each year WSFAB funds our Ungulate Enhancement project. Essentially what this does is offsets costs for Hounds-men and trappers go into sheep wintering grounds and conduct predator management on cougars and wolves. We all know the damage predators can do to any animal population if their numbers are not kept in check. This year WSFAB has committed overc$75 000 to this project to keep predators out of sheep wintering ranges and will continue to do so into the future. The funding from the sale of this hunt will go directly into our Ungulate Enhancement fund and in result be right back on the mountain where it belongs. Putting and keeping wild sheep on the mountain and staying true to our mission statement.
The Package
5 day whitetail hunt on 20,000 acres + of private land in the foothills of Alberta's majestic Rocky Mountains. The hunting territory is prime whitetail habitat with a mixture of forests and agricultural land. Game populations are very high and hunters can expect to see a large number of deer each day. Shot opportunity has averaged 100% and multiple 150"+ class deer are taken every year. Accommodations can be made for all ages and fitness levels. Hunters can expect to hike beautiful ridges and valleys or hunt from blinds depending on the hunter's ability or the circumstance. We do not do all day sits as there is no need. Guides will take hunters to multiple areas throughout the day in search of a big mature whitetail buck.
Included in the hunt: Airport pick up and drop off from Calgary, Accommodations are a comfortable home on the property and homecooked meals.
Not included in the hunt: Tag price NOT included. $203 + $68.
