Tussey Custom Caspian Arms Model 1911 Long Slide Semi-Automatic Pistol, #56816, 10mm cal., 6'' Clark barrel, stainless steel finish, checkered wood grips with Caspian Arms logo engraved into the center diamond. Sights include a blade front with set screw and a fully adjustable Bo-Mar rear. Pistol also features a smooth front strap, checkered backstrap, lightweight hammer and trigger, flared magazine well, custom grip safety; recoil spring plug with the Tussey's initials ''TT'' on the front. Right rear portion of the slide is marked ''Tussey Custom''. Included is one unmarked magazine, El Paso Saddlery shoulder holster with strap. This particular handgun was owned by firearms writer Paul Hantke and featured in the February 2008 Guns & Ammo magazine, in an article entitled ''Tussey Custom 9x25'', pages 86-91. A full copy of the magazine is included. The same gun was also featured in the November 2009 Guns & Ammo magazine, in an article entitled ''Fast 9mms, From the 1911'', pages 18-25. A photocopy of this article is included. This pistol has been modified since the original article was written, most notably by changing the barrel to 10mm vs. the 9x25mm caliber that is referenced in the article, most likely for the convenience of shooting as 10mm is far more common. A few other noticeable changes were the blued slide stop and thumb safety being changed out for ones that match the stainless finish. The overall condition is excellent. Slide and portions of the frame with a small amount of scattered shallow scratches and other normal marks from handling and range use. Grips appear near new with clean sharp checkering. Action is very smooth with an excellent bore. Holster shows light wear to the backside. Est.: $2,000-$3,000. (Modern/PPT) (Paul Hantke collection)
