Two framed Modernist original mixed media paintings on paper signed “Grise”; each approximately 25” x 37.5” overall. Hendrik Grise is a listed California artist; he was born in 1914 and died in 1982 in Monterey Park, CA. Hestudied at the Art Institute of Chicago though there is no ardcfhival record of his attendance there and at the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts; he received an LA Times Award for Retail Art and worked for Robinson’s, Broadway, Neiman Marcus and Marshall Field. He also taught drawing, painting and commercial art throughout the 1950’s and early 1960’s. Est.: $300-$3,000.
