U.S. M1 Garand semi-auto rifle by Harrington & Richardson, .30 cal., 24” HRA barrel dated 2-56, military finish, wood stock, serial #5733169 in overall fine, unissued condition showing nearly all of its military finish, fine bore, crispaction, sharp markings and nearly excellent wood with circle “P” proof behind the trigger guard, “SA” in a box on the left side of the stock. The butt stock ends with a checkered metal butt plate with trap and includes sling swivels. Theconsignor’s card indicates the rifle as “New as issued 1957.” H & R only produced approximately 428,000 M1 rifles between 1953 and 1956. This is an excellent example of one of those rifles. (C&R).
