U.S. Model 1864 Cavalry sword and metal scabbard by Mansfield & Lamb, dated 1864 with inspector C.E.W. mark in overall very good to fine condition with hard-to-find leather and brass hanging strap. The blade is fine overall, the brass guard and pommel show a nice patina and the wire wrapped leather grip is good with wear to the leather on the left side of the grip. The scabbard is very good as is the leather and brass hanging strap. Est.: $750-$1,500.
