50-70 caliber, 22& #34; barrel with three land and groove rifling, S/N 64958. Walnut stock and forearm. The barrel still retains a lot of the original arsenal blue finish. The frame retains most of the original case colored finish just lightly muted. The buttplate retains nearly all of the case colored finish. Stock and forearm are excellent with nice untouched open grain wood. Left side of the stock in the middle has a nice DFC cartouche in a banner. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny. This is a very nice carbine that was issued.
