U.S. Property marked Model 1911 semi-automatic pistol by Union Switch & Signal, .45 caliber, 5” barrel, S/N 1056719, in overall very good to fine condition with DU-LITE finish, crisp action, sharp markings, some scattered spots of erosion andpinprick pitting on the frame, fine bore, fine plastic Keyes Fibre grips, checkered mainspring housing. According to the Standard Catalog of Military Firearms by Schwing, only 55,000 pistols total were delivered in 1943 to the military fromUnion Switch & Signal Co., making it one of the most sought after of all the 1911/1911-A1 pistols.
