U.S. Springfield Model 1868 (made in 1870), .50 caliber, .32.5” barrel, wood stock, S/N 45720, in overall very good to fine condition showing some cleaning to metal surfaces that have an even grey patina, fine bore,crisp action, sharp markings and very good + stock showing two crisp inspector cartouches on the left side of the stock above the trigger and “S.N. Seelye” stamped on the right side of the butt stock; several oldmars confined primarily to the left forestock area. Would be interesting to research the Seelye name in military records. (Antique). Est.: $600-$1,200.
