U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor rifle, .45-70 caliber, 28” shortened barrel, replaced front sight, added horn cap to shortened front of wood stock that shows old break at wrist and repair, trigger guardshows interesting engraving of a buffalo on the bottom of the guard and the name “S. D. Cowles” on the rear trigger guard tang; S/N 60737, in overall fair to good condition as modified with a crisp action, good markings,missing rear sight, stock shows wear and old applied “burnt rope” type striping on butt stock area; name may be further researchable by the successful bidder. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed.
