U.S. Springfield Trapdoor Allin Conversion rifle, .50 cal., 36-5/8” barrel, lockplate dated 1863, full length stock, cleaning rod retained, in overall good to very good condition showing a brown patina to the barrel, silvery toning to the lockplate, trapdoor and hammer, crisp action, good markings and very good bore; the wood stock is also overall very good with what appears to be an old re-finish with some fine white speckling confined to the butt stock area (overspray?) that should be easily removable.
