SN: F00391 High quality reproduction of the Smith & Wesson No. 3 Schofield 2nd Model top-break single action revolver, chambered in .44-40. Manufactured in Italy and imported by Stoeger of Accokeek, M.D. with import stamp on the right side of the barrel. Features a bright blue finish with case colored accents on trigger guard, hammer, latch, solid ribbed 3.25" barrel, round blade front sight, ‘v’ notch rear sight cut in the barrel latch, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, fluted six-shot cylinder with automatic ejector, ejector override latch under hinge, frame with “U.S.” marked on the butt, and two-piece smooth walnut grips with 1877 dated replica US inspector markings. Bore and charge holes are pristine. Retains 98% finish with handling marks. Grips are very good. Action is smooth with tight lock-up. Cylinder spins freely with hammer at half-cock.
