Under hammer percussion buggy rifle with wire frame detachable shoulder stock by “D.H. Hilliard, Cornish New Hampshire” with 11 3/16” half round/ half octagon barrel and 26 ½” overall with stock attached in .44 caliber rifled. The top flat is nicely engraved and marker stamped. The stock shows a reddish color violin type varnish with brass inlays and at least very good condition. The metal is a gray patina with minor staining, erosion and minor pitting. A very nice under hammer by a well-known New England maker. (Antique) Est.: $1400-$2800
