Union Switch & Signal M1911A1 45 ACP #1054156
"National Match" pistol with modified Remington Rand slide. WWII era US military issue, frame made circa 1943. Accurized with National Match parts, the work appears to have been done properly by a military armorer. Parkerized, with Partridge target front sight (appears to be a standard staked type, with epoxy to help hold the exposed portion of the bigger sight), "Micro" adjustable rear sight in approx 0.344" dovetail, 5" barrel, thumb & grip safeties, serrated arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop, push button mag release. Bore is very good. Pistol shows 95% coverage of medium gray re-finish, with rough texture on frame under the re-finish, slide looks more like normal wartime surface prep. Slide marked "4156" with hand stamps, in addition to Remington Rand two line address on left side. Frame has normal property & model markings, also a large "SA" over "A" and "RIA" over "T" on right side, "N" over "M" on right trigger guard, double/over stamped "P" behind mag catch. 7267718" over "N M" on bushing face, electric pencilled "4256" on side of bushing. Barrel hood marked "45 Auto / NM 7790313 / 1054156". Barrel lug marked "C" inside square, "M", "P". Grips are newer checkered walnut with "U.S." embossed across middle. Included magazine is "COLT" marked.
Condition is NRA Very Good as modified
