United States Property-marked Colt Model 1911A-1 Transition Model semi-automatic pistol, .45 caliber, 5” barrel, blued finish, checkered wood grips, two-tone magazine, S/N 702141, in overall excellent condition showing approximately 98%+ original finish, just some high point wear, fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings and excellent grips. Accompanied by an importantly detailed Colt factory letter confirming “Transition Model”, caliber, barrel length and finish; type of stocks “Not Listed”, Special Features: Furnished with a new style trigger and mainspring housing; Sold To: U.S. Government; Shipped To: Springfield Armory, Springfield, Massachusetts on February 14, 1924; date of manufacture: January 11, 1924; 1,000 same type guns in shipment. “Remarks: Although these pistols are categorized in the Colt records as Model 1911 pistols, they are furnished with the model 1911A1 improvements. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
