1950 ARMY REVOLVER W/ BOX. Cal. 45 Autorim. S# S211365. The 365th revolver made after the switch to the numerical model designation. The 5 1/2" bbl. is marked "45 Cal. Model 1950" (an updated version of the 45 hand ejector Model 17 w/ new hammer block & short throw action) on left. Model 22 designation is on inside of frame. Redesigned hammer & trigger are case hardened. Revolver is fitted w/ original walnut checkered grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: revolver comes in what is most likely its original gold blue printed box for this model & configuration. Box contains wrapping paper, warranty card, cleaning equipment, & screwdriver. Also present is a copy of an S&W factory letter stating that only 3,976 revolvers of this model were produced. CONDITION: exceptionally fine, possibly unfired. Retaining essentially all factory blue & grip finish, but does have bolt dragline on cyl. Bright shiny bore. Mechanically crisp.
