HOLSTER. Cal. 32, S# 40784. This revolver is standard mid 1865 manufactured S&W No. 2 army revolver, 6" barrel and does not match the 1864 date inside holster. The accompanying brown leather holster has brass tipped wood finial. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: file of research and service records of incorrect soldier whose name appears inside holster. CONDITION: fine overall, all matching, 60% blue finish, good markings, rosewood grips retain most of their original factory varnish, with light edge wear. Mechanically fine, good rifled bore. Accompanying holster fits revolver loosely and is very good overall. PROVENANCE: Lifelong collection of Robert "Mike" Bricker. (01-24955/JS). ANTIQUE. $700-900.
