CHAPTER 54, SPECIAL FORCES ASSOCIATION RIFLES. Cal. 308. S# RD005245 / RD005244. Bbls. 16.5. These rifles are part of an extremely small special run, rumored to be under 10 in total. Windham Weaponry manufactured these for the U.S. Army Special Forces Association, Chapter 54, out of Boston, MA, and this is an unseparated, consecutively numbered pair. 16" threaded barrels terminated with A2 style flash hiders. 15" full length, free floating M-Lok handguards regulated with upper receiver, providing 22" of picatinny rail optic mounting real estate. Round forward assist, brass deflector, and dust cover. Samson flip-up iron sights consist of a front-protected post and an adjustable, dual-aperture rear peep sight. Left side controls. Extended charging handles. Textured black rubber Hogue pistol grip. One rifle has a Magpul MOE shoulder stock, while the other has a Magpul PRS Gen 3 stock. Both stocks contain a brass data plate engraved "U.S. ARMY / SPECIAL FORCES ASSOCIATION / CHAPTER 54, BOSTON, MA." on the right side. Right side mag-well is laser marked with the Special Forces dual arrow, fighting knife logo, and "DE OPPRESSO LIBER". One rifle has a black nylon sling. CONDITION: original finish, complete and consistent, with little sign of any prior use. Brass deflectors aren't even marked, which happens almost immediately. Bores are bright with strong rifling. Fire control mechanisms appear to function correctly when cycled by hand. PROVENANCE: from the Working Reference Collection of Military Arms Instructor, Master Sergeant Vincent Pestilli. (23-7480, 23-7481/JZ). MODERN. $3,000-5,000.
