motif with original to the period mellow and patina ivory grips, S/N 1719 with clear Volcanic Arms Co. New Haven address and visible patent markings. The barrel shows considerable original blue finish mixed with nice brown patina. The frame remains dark and honey colored with darkened original silver gone to blue-black. The grips underneath show S/N 1719 also with some minor imperfection and losses. The grips show dirt underneath and don’t look like they were ever removed in the last 100 years. The magazine thumb piece is a period replacement as is rear sight. The overall condition is good to very good with great uncleaned and “Out of the attic” appearance. Provenance: John Miller collection. Our consignor obtained this volcanic in the 1960’s from Miller who owned Monte Vista Hotel in downtown Palm Springs, CA.
