HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 258582. Bbl. 3 1/2". Model 4 semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Germany by Walther, circa. 1924-1929. The left side of the slide is marked "Walther's Patent Cal. 7.65" above the Walther banner logo, with Walther's mfg. information marked on the right. Left side of frame is marked "MADE IN GERMANY" on the forward trigger guard web. Frame, slide, and bbl. exhibit a German Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black grips. Blade front sight, with U-notch rear sight. MAGS: 1 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: generic hard case containing a period brown leather holster. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of mild wear and thinning, with some scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting present overall. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as some scattered nicks and marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Leather holster remains malleable, exhibiting age related cracking and crazing overall. (24-5194/MLW). CURIO. $400-600.
