CARBINE SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH CASE & ACCESSORIES. Cal. 7.65x21mm Parabellum. S# 24491. Bbl. 11 7/8". Wonderfully restored Model 1902 Luger Carbine semi-automatic pistol, mfg. by DWM for commercial sales. Top of the forward toggle link is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Crown over "B", "U", and "G" commercial proofs are present on the underside of the bbl., with a Crown/B and Crown/U proof present on the forward toggle link. Breechblock exhibits a sole Crown/B proof. Frame, bbl., bbl. extension, breechblock, and toggles exhibit a professionally reapplied blue finish overall, with smaller components exhibiting either a reapplied straw or nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Contemporary checkered wood forend and detachable shoulder stock. Ramped blade front sight with standard Carbine 4-position rear sight. Additional features include the dished toggle "ears", anti-rebound arm, as well as the grip safety. All serialized components are matching, with some components, including the sideplate and buttstock iron, appearing to have been renumbered to match. Bbl. is a slightly longer replacement and has been renumbered and proofed to match. MAGS: two 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: high-quality black leather case containing the stock, one spare mag. (with replacement wood bottom), a cleaning rod / oiler, as well as one 50-rd. box of DWM "K71A" headstamped ammunition. Interior of ammo box lid is marked "7.65 LUGER CARBINE/ ONLY/ 1500 F.P.S. 83 GR.". CONDITION: excellent, as professionally restored, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a few areas of light wear and thinning, as well as areas of extremely light pitting that is present beneath the finish. Strawed and nitre blued components retain bountiful amounts of their reapplied finishes. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows a few light handling marks and small impressions, but otherwise is very good to excellent overall. Case is very good overall, with a few minor marks from handling and storage.
