HOLSTER RIG. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 296282 (US ARMY S# 144449). This revolver started its life as an end of production revolver mfg. 1920, after the Treaty of Versailles. Many of these revolvers were recalled into service during World War II. This revolver has been refurbished with parkerized finish, & two piece brown plastic grips with Colt medallions. Standard configuration with 6" barrel, 6 shot fluted cylinder & US Army marks on butt. Frame is stamped under grips "G", "L" & "4", "7", & "8". Left side of frame has eagle "18" & flaming bomb proof. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: rig having 1944 dated Milwaukee Saddlery Co. holster, 1942 dated belt, M1917 revolver ammo case, 1941 B.M.C. first aid pouch with first aid packet, FM 23-36 basic field manual for .45 M1917 Revolver, & Peters Cartridge Co. ammo box containing 24 rounds of revolver ball in clips. Rig in good intact condition with light wear, light verdigris & stain spots. CONDITION: revolver has very good parkerized finish showing light muzzle wear, faint cylinder turn line & scattered marks finished over. Near excellent bore.
