This cap has a dark sage green wool crown with a dark forest green band. The cap is piped in red, denoting artillery. There is a zinc eagle at the front of the crown and an aluminum wreath and cockade at the front of the band. Black leather-like chinstrap, terminated by black enameled buttons. The interior of the visor is brown, as is the sweatband. The liner appears to be light brown polished cotton with a rounded-end diamond sweat shield in the crown. The lining is stamped with the size "56 1/2". CONDITION: the crown and piping show scattered moth nips but the structure of the hat is sound. (02-23862 /BF). $350-500.
