BADGE, & 5th DON COSSACK CROSS. This lot contains items of questionable authenticity that may be of post-WWII manufacture. We encourage interested parties to examine items in this lot closely and in person, if possible. Preview times are available upon request. 1) SPANISH CROSS. A very well-made WWII-style German Spanish Cross in silver without swords. Cross has a central party symbol with Luftwaffe eagles between each arm of the cross. The reverse has a wide pin and is stamped in the center "L/13". (02-22532/BF). 2) ARMY PARATROOPER. This personalized WWII-style German Army Paratrooper Badge has a gilded oak leaf wreath with a Wehrmacht eagle at the top and a diving silver eagle in the center. The reverse has a wide gilded pin with a safety catch at the base. The badge has 2-rivet construction, and the back of the eagle is stamped "800". The back of the wreath is engraved "Fallschirm – Inf – Btl O. Gefr. Neubert". (02-22538/BF). 3) COSSACK. A scarce example of a WWII-style German Cross of the 5th Don Cossack Regiment. Cross depicts crossed swords and a cross with a central party symbol superimposed on a black and red shield. The arms of the cross read clockwise "5", "HOB", "28X 1941", and "KOHO". The reverse has a pebbled finish with a brass pin. (02-22554/BF). CONDITION: all pieces show overall light wear with no notable damage. $400-700.
