This helmet is from an estate. It is a front seam, magnesium rim, swivel bale and early brass fittings and OD chinstrap. The Colonel eagle appears to be post war and is soldered to front. The shell has be repainted the more OD semi-gloss with most of the early cork texture clearly seen. The liner is marked "D27" over Westinghouse logo with very crude basic liner suspension. This has all the signs of career officer who used his WWII helmet through the 1950s and 1960s.
