Waffenfabrik Bern/CKC M1929 'Luger' 7.65mm
SN: 67722. This is an excellent example of a late 1929 Swiss Military contract Luger made at the factory in Bern. This model has the distinctive, straight grip frame angle with the grip safety and fast taper profile barrel of the Swiss Lugers. It also has serrated toggle knobs, with the "S" marked upper safety area highlighted in white. This specific serial number falls into the early military contract serial number range (50001-77941) and lacks the commercial "P" serial number prefix. The left side of the frame rails has the small "k/+" Swiss Army inspection and or acceptance proof inside the stylized "W" along with the a "F/+" proof on the back side of the frame, and on the left frame. The top of the front toggle has the correct military Swiss Cross in a Shield logo with the full serial number stamped on the rear portion of the toggle assembly, frame & barrel. These Lugers have the distinctive dark brown, checkered plastic grips with the mold numbers/marks on the outside of each grip panel. These Lugers have a dark almost flat rust blued finish and it is fitted with a correct nickel plated magazine with the dark brown plastic base. The back of the magazine body has the small script "P" proof, and a bakelite base. "P" is stamped on the front of the frame, indicating release from military inventory, and the underside of the frame bears the import markings "C.K.C. Ports, OH". Very Faint/Discreet. Comes in a Swiss brown leather military holster stamped "J. Scheidegger, Bern", and "09" Bore is excellent, overall excellent, with a very minor scratch, and ding on the right barrel. Holster is very good/sound.
