This hunt is a 5-day duck and grouse combo hunt over retrievers and pointing dogs in Kapuskasing, Ontario for 1 hunter. If our hunter has their own retriever and or pointing dog, they are encouraged to bring it along. Winner is encouraged to bring additional hunters at $2,250. Lodging, guides with retrievers and pointing dogs. Hunt for ducks and geese in large rice bays on the famous Kap River, the 1st staging area for birds coming off James Bay. The numerous lakes and rivers in this part of northern Ontario also have plenty of wild rice which attract and hold large numbers of black ducks, mallards and many other species such as widgeon, teal, pintails, woodies, etc. There are also plenty of diving ducks such as ring bill, lesser scaup, golden eye etc. The Kapuskasing area, with its mixed forests of pine, birch and aspen are perfect for excellent numbers of ruffed grouse, sharp-tailed grouse and spruce grouse. This is a shotgun hunt, no draw required, 1 hunter, must be used in 2023 or 2024, dates are September 10 through November 10th. Does not include your transportation to and from the lodge or your hunting license. The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen and dining room to do your own cooking.
