British military top-break double action revolver chambered for .455 Webley. Features a blued finish, 4" barrel, forged round blade front sight, notched rear sight on the barrel catch, fluted six-shot cylinder, automatic extractor, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, lanyard ring on the bird's head shaped butt, two-piece checkered brown hard rubber grips. Serial numbers match on the barrel, frame & cylinder. British proof marks are observed on the barrel and over every charge hole on the cylinder. Other markings include broad arrow marks with "WD", crown over "B 9", "WEBLEY/MARK II/PATENTS" on the frame, "N" over "3" on backstrap. "P.M." scratched into bottom of front strap. Cylinder appears not shaved, with proofs and other marks visible on rear face. Bore is good condition, overall bright with strong rifling, dark streaks in grooves might clean out. Retains 75% finish, color looks right, no obvious blemishes in the metal to indicate re-finish, some thinning and fading where handled and at muzzle, some dings to sharp edges. Two tone look on sides of frame from polishing direction to work around the recoil shield. Grips are good, small chip missing from left panel at point, with handling marks throughout. Action is smooth, has good lock-up. Cylinder turns freely with trigger at rest. Extractor operation is strong.
Condition is NRA Very Good
