Cylinder has been shaved to fit 45 ACP in clips, or 45 Auto Rim ammunition, both of which are generally considered to be a bit hot for this model revolver. British top-break double action revolver. Features a blued finish, 4" barrel, forged round blade front sight, notched rear sight on the barrel catch, fluted six-shot cylinder, automatic extractor, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, lanyard stud (ring missing) on the bird's head shaped butt, two-piece checkered brown hard rubber grips. Serial numbers match on the barrel & frame, none observed on the cylinder. British proof marks are observed on the barrel and over every charge hole on the cylinder. Other markings include "455/476" on left side below barrel, "WEBLEY/PATENTS" on the frame, "MARK III" on top strap, "W&S" flying bullet logo on left side. Bore is good condition, mostly bright with strong rifling, showing dark streaks and some light pitting. The revolver retains approximately 10% of it's original finish, most finish has faded to a dull brown color, some darker grays in protected areas. Many small dings, especially on sharp edges. Screw slots typically show some marring. Grips are good condition, large chip missing from left panel at point, many small holes on both sides, smoothing of the checker points throughout. Action is smooth with fair lock-up, cylinder is fairly easy to turn by hand with trigger at reset. Extractor operation is good if opened quickly.
Condition is NRA Good
