Webley Mark V 45 ACP SN: 170112
Cylinder has been shaved to fit 45 ACP in clips, or 45 Auto Rim ammunition, both of which are generally considered to be a bit hot for this model revolver. British WWI era military revolver features 6" slab sided barrel, 6 shot cylinder, break top style opening for loading and unloading, double/single action operation, fixed sights, bird's head grip with checkered black hard rubber grips, lanyard ring on butt. Bore is very good. Cylinder charge holes are good condition. Retains little original blue, majority of metal showing brown or gray color, some bare metal visible on edges, some patina visible throughout. Grips are good condition, solid with scratches, many small holes or voids visible, color has shifted towards a chocolate brown. Action operates smoothly with good lock-up. Cylinder bolt allows rotation with trigger at rest. Serial numbers match on the barrel & frame & cylinder, with edge of cylinder numbers partially lost due to the shortening of the cylinder. British proof marks are observed on the barrel and over every charge hole on the cylinder. Other markings include "455" and broad arrows on left side below barrel, WEBLEY/Mark V/PATENTS" over "1915" on the frame, "MARK V" on top strap. Includes a good condition cotton web holster, British type, color appears originally tan with discoloration.
Condition is NRA Good+
