'Rigby Marked' British WWI era military break top revolver manufactured between 1905 and 1916. features 6" slab sided barrel, fixed front sight with Partridge type blade, notch rear sight on top latch, 6 shot fluted cylinder, break top style opening for loading and unloading, double/single action operation, square butt grip frame, checkered wood grips, lanyard ring on butt. Bore and charge holes are very good condition. Retains 60% blued finish. fading towards gray overall, much thin brown on bottom left side of frame, with edge losses & handling marks. Grips are good solid condition, scratched & scuffed, no visible chips or cracks. Action operates smoothly, with good lock-up. Markings are generally sharp & readable, include "flying bullet", crown over "BV". Bottom of trigger guard is nicely hand engraved "3953". Top of barrel rib marked "John Rigby & Co. 43 Sackville St London W" (retailer marking). Condition is NRA Very Good. *** C&R Firearm ***
