Rifle has been totally restored, Lever action rifle chambered for 44-40 ammunition, manufactured circa 1891. It has a 24" octagon barrel with dovetailed front sight and adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has a full length magazine tube. Two piece wood stocks are plain with a trapdoor crescent brass trapdoor butt plate. Gun has high polish reblue with buffing marks under the blue. Wood has a high gloss refinish, contrasting 1/4" strips of blonde have been added to the top of both sides of the forearm. Bore is fair, rifling present, with light pitting throughout, Reblue is about 94% with minor scratches/edge wear, some scuffing to the buttplate, wood is very good/sound with minor scratches/dings, action is smooth/crisp, and the Winchester markings are clear, readable, except for the caliber on the barrel flat which reads "W.C.F."
