Scarce lever action repeating rifle chambered in .45-70 Government. Manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1911. Features a blued finish, 22” round tapered barrel (outside diameter @ the muzzle measures .645”), 2/3 length magazine, low profile front sight base with Lyman round blade front sight with ivory insert, blank inserted into the rear sight dovetail, Lyman 21 receiver mounted sight, smooth curved trigger, checkered hammer spur, smooth straight grain walnut forend with metal cap and straight grip shoulder stock with shotgun metal buttplate. No factory info available on barrel length but crown and front sight base appear correct. Rifle retains approximately 50-70% of its original blued finish with the balance of the metal surfaces drifting to natural patina. The action is sound/tight, the rifling appears good but is full of dried grease (may clean well), the marking & edges are sharp and the walnut stocks are good to very good with minor dings, mars & scratches consistent with normal carry & use.
