Antique lever action repeating rifle chambered in .32 WS Winchester, manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1897. Features a blued finish, 20" round barrel, full-length tube magazine, pinned Marbles blade front sight, sporting leaf rear sight, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, steel receiver, two band, smooths walnut forend with metal cap, straight grip shoulder stock with smooth metal crescent rifle buttplate. Bore is fair, rifling present, light pitting throughout. Metal surfaces show coverage of a brown/gray patina, scattered pits/surface rust throughout. Barrel markings are readable, the tang markings and serial number are crisp The original factory caliber mark of ".32-40" are very feint. Someone has stamped "32 SPL." on the lower barrel. Wood is good/sound, action is smooth. "Barn find condition".
