‘Pre-64’ Desirable push round feed bolt action sporting rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. Manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1941. Features a blued finish, 24” round tapered barrel, ramped Redfield globe front sight with post insert, removed rear sight, extended Lyman 525 side mount receiver sight without disc, modified type 1 three position safety, polished bolt with swept-back handle, polished follower, curved serrated trigger, five round internal box magazine with hinged floorplate, period leather sling attached to factory swivels and checkered semi-pistol grip walnut stock with Fray-Mershon buttplate & 12 7/8” LOP. The left side of the receiver has been drilled/tapped for a different sight or scope mount and the stock has addition cuts for the same reason. Matching serial numbers on the receiver and bolt. Rifle retains approximately 95% of its original blued finish showing light wear and some scattered oxidation. The action is mechanically sound, the bore is excellent, and the walnut stock is very good with moderate blemishes.
