Winchester Model 1885 Hi-Wall single shot rifle, 32-40 cal., serial #79893. The rifle is in very good to nearly fine condition with a #3 octagon barrel. The barrel retains nearly all of its blued finish with a laterreplacement globe front sight and period mid-range tang sight. The receiver shows significant toning case color on both sides, as well as the lever. The rifle has double triggers with the factory letter describingthe 2nd trigger as a “Scheutzen” set trigger. The smooth wood stocks are in very good overall condition with small mars and loss of finish consistent with storage. The butt stock ends with a nickel plated Swiss buttplate. The bore is very good, the action crisp and markings are sharp. A Winchester factory letter accompanies the rifle confirming the characteristics of the rifle. The letter indicates the rifle was receivedat the warehouse on June 28, 1899 and consigned the same day. Interestingly, the letter states that the rifle was originally configured as a .22 Long caliber. Est.: $1750-3500. (C+R).

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and follow the laws and regulations of their home state regarding firearms. It is the buyer's responsibility to know gun laws in their area.
