Vintage lever action repeating rifle chambered in .32-40 Winchester, manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1900. Features a blued finish, the 23 1/2" octagon barrel has been shortened, full-length tube magazine, dovetailed blade front sight, sporting rear sight, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, steel receiver, single magazine band, smooth walnut forend with metal cap, straight grip shoulder stock with smooth metal crescent buttplate. Bore is good condition, frosted, light pitting throughout, with strong rifling. Metal surfaces show full coverage of a dull blue/light brown color, with edge losses, scattered tiny pits across receiver sides. Markings are crisp. Edges of barrel flats fairly sharp. Wood is overall fair with six small areas of repairs with plastic wood, a larger one at the toe, there is a 8' crack on on both sides of the lower shoulder stock, and may be glued in place.
