Antique lever action repeating rifle chambered in .38-55 Winchester, manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1895. Features a blued finish, 26" round barrel, full-length tube magazine, dovetailed blade front sight, sporting rear sight, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, steel receiver, single magazine band, smooth walnut forend with metal cap, straight grip shoulder stock with smooth metal crescent buttplate. Bore is fair, rifling present, light pitting throughout. Metal surfaces show coverage of a brown/gray patina, scattered tiny pits across receiver sides. Dull blue on the tube. Some traces of bluing retained on the loading door, sides of finger lever, and rear sight. Barrel markings appear a bit shallow, with even depth. Other markings are crisp. Edges of barrel flats fairly sharp. Wood is very good, action is smooth. NRA Condition-Very Good as Antique Firearm.
